Preparations are currently underway in Fairfield and all over the harbour city for what is the biggest night of the year.
If you haven’t made your plans for New Year’s night yet then rest assured that there will be plenty happening around town, even if you plan on staying in for the night.
The popular Illuminate event will be the biggest event in Fairfield. It will unite families across the region with one giant celebration as fireworks are launched from nine different sites at 9pm on New Year’s Eve.
This will provide the opportunity for Fairfield residents to celebrate New Year’s Eve and watch them from their very own backyards, with fireworks launching from 9 sites around the city!
The event is thanks to collaboration with local sponsoring clubs. They include Calmsley Hill City Farm, Cabramatta Bowling Club, Cabra-Vale Digger,s Canley Heights RSL & Sporting Club, Club Marconi, Fairfield RSL, Mounties Smithfield RSL and St Johns Park Bowling Club.
The fireworks will be launching from these locations so if you want to head out then these should all provide excellent vantage points, coupled with their own celebrations.
If you’re lucky enough to have tickets to celebrations at Calmsley Hill City Farm (Fairfield’s major NYE event), you’ll be treated to live entertainment, free amusement rides, children’s activities and much more.
You do need tickets though, so if you want to see if there are any extras or if you can be put on a waiting list then email the local council at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.

However you choose to celebrate the dawn of the New Year, we hope you have a great time and more importantly we wish you all the best for the year ahead!
