Get ready for Culinary Carnivale 2016

Fairfield’s renowned Spanish and Latin American Food Festival, Culinary Carnivale, is only a couple more weeks away and as always it promises to add a little bit of spice to the calendar.

Now in its sixth year, Culinary Carnivale will deliver up a delicious menu that showcases some of the best cuisines from Spain and Latin America, accompanied by Brazilian dancers, drummers, Mexican singers, football stars and a whole lot more in a friendly family atmosphere.

The popular 10m long asado barbecue will be back, as well as stalls offering gelato, South American sweets, Spanish seafood paella, empanadas, and freshly squeezed juices.

This year visitors will also get a special performance from The Voice’s C Major (Carlos Velazquez), who has been likened to Latin superstar Ricky Martin.

Apart from C Major and the Majorettes, Culinary Carnivale will see regular entertainer Victor Valdes and his Real Mexico return in 2016, as well as Batucuda Brasil, Comparsa Yauguru (drumming in the streets), Tierra Colombiana, and Latin Mystique. The Latin Heat Rugby League will hold a pass the ball competition, and Dauntless Movement Crew will perform a acrobatics/breakdancing show.

All of this fantastic entertainment is free, along with entry to the event.

Make sure you mark Saturday 22 October in your calendar because this is a local event not to be missed. It will run from 11am in Spencer Street, Fairfield.

It’s recommended that people travel to the Culinary Carnivale via train; with the festival located just a 100m walk from Fairfield Station.
