Fairfield residents are encouraged to put in a nomination for their community hero in the 2017 Fairfield City Australia Day Community Awards.
The awards aim to recognise the outstanding achievements of our residents during the past year and/or contributions to the local community over a number of years.
You can nominate anyone you think is deserving of local recognition for all of their hard work and community service, whether it’s a friend, family member, workmate or someone you have met while serving the community.
Nominations can be made in the following categories:
- Citizen of the Year – 18 years and over
- Young Citizen of the Year – up to 17 years
- Volunteer of the Year – 12 years and over
- Sports Achiever of the Year – 12 years and over
All nominees must either live, work, study or volunteer in Fairfield City.
If you would like to nominate someone for an award, you can find nomination forms and guidelines at the Fairfield City Council website – www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au.
Award winners will be announced at a special Australia Day ceremony in January.
Nominations close on Friday 4 November 2016 at 4.30pm, so start thinking now about whom you would like to nominate.
