Free Activities in Fairfield After news of the Federal Budget came in a couple of weeks ago, a lot of households in Fairfield have been concerned about the rising cost of living.

Fortunately, there are still some free services available for those who live in the Fairfield local government area, and so we thought we would list them to help Fairfield residents keep their costs down.

Free transport – City Connect Bus

Fairfield City offers a free commuter bus from Monday to Friday between major interchanges for those who live in areas that are poorly serviced by public transport.

Free entertainment and resources – Fairfield Libraries

Fairfield libraries offer a whole lot more than just books. Visitors can also take advantage of the Internet, eBooks, magazines and DVDs. The library also offers children’s activities, tutoring, multicultural services and more.

Free culture – Fairfield Museum and Art Gallery

All local residents are entitled to free general admission at the Fairfield Museum and Art Gallery – so why not head along for a culture-filled day out?

Free markets – Fairfield Markets

The Fairfield Markets are held every Saturday from 9am to 4pm. They contain plenty of unique items and family friendly entertainment.

Free entry for seniors – Fairfield Leisure Centres

Residents aged 60 years or older who hold an Aged Pensioner Concession Card or Seniors Card are entitled to free entry at Fairfield leisure centres within certain times.
