Big brother is now watching over Fairfield and lots of local residents think it’s about time.
The Fairfield City Council has listened to the concerns of the Fairfield community and overhauled the CCTV infrastructure in the area, which means there are now new cameras helping to reduce crime in Fairfield.
Having CCTV cameras in Fairfield helps deter would-be criminals and it helps the police monitor and identify any perpetrators if a crime does take place or is about to take place.
The new CCTV cameras have been installed in areas that have been identified by police as being known for criminal and anti-social behaviour, but hopefully over time these areas will see less crime and become safer for everyone.
