Lunar New Year Celebrations

chinese new yearLunar New Year in 2014 will herald the Year of the Horse, the seventh zodiac sign of the Chinese zodiac cycle.  This weekend, Lunar New Year celebrations kick-off in Cabramatta, and thousands of people are expected to join the fun in Freedom Plaza, Cabramatta Town Centre.  It will be an action-packed weekend filled with entertainment, traditional rituals and some of the most authentic Asian dishes in Sydney.

From the exciting lion dancers, to beautiful traditional dancers complete with costumes and vibrant live performances, this will be a weekend to remember, and it’s all absolutely FREE.  Don’t forget this is an event for the whole family.  This Saturday, February 1, make sure you bring the kids down for a My Little Pony Live Show at noon and 2pm, with a meet and greet at 1pm.

Whatever country, religion or race you are, New Year’s Day is a time for getting together with family and friends.  This celebration will be no different.  From 9am – 5pm this Saturday and Sunday, come on down with the family and enjoy all the entertainment on offer to help welcome in the New Year.
